Life is full of choices. We make them every moment of every day- from the basic to the complex; from the mundane to the life-changing. Amongst the latter the choice regarding where to educate our children is one of those highly impacting decisions. I am delighted to know that you are either considering or have decided to invest in your child’s education by enrolling at Thunderbird Adventist Academy (TAA).
We are proud of our school, our name, and our mission. Thunderbird Adventist Academy has served the young people of Arizona and beyond since 1920. We have been in our current Scottsdale, Arizona location since 1953. Thunderbird Adventist Academy is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We are private, co-educational secondary school with a strong Christian foundation. Although we accept students without regard to religious orientation, we are unapologetically Christian in our religious experience and Seventh-day Adventist in our theological worldview. We offer a college preparatory curriculum. Over 90% of our students move on to pursue higher education at local colleges as well as world renowned universities across the United States and beyond.
Our education addresses the spiritual, mental, and physical facets of every person. We strive to nurture spiritual growth, encourage mental acuity, and develop physical discipline. Our name, Thunderbird Adventist Academy denotes these three emphases: we are committed to producing young people, who understand the importance of caring to their physical well-being, to value their personal spiritual experience with a loving God, and who are determined to hone their academic skills to find success as their continue their education beyond the halls of our school.
The mission of Thunderbird Adventist Academy is to provide a Christ-centered, grace-oriented, Seventh-day Adventist high-school educational community that embraces spiritual growth, elicits academic excellence, and encourages physical discipline.
