GROUP INTERACTION & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
This part of the curriculum is performed outside of a classroom setting and is integrated into other aspects of campus life. The four segments are:

JAM
Jesus and Me was created as a time of release from the daily stresses of life. JAM is a great transition time between the hassles of the hectic week and getting ready to spend time with Jesus on the Sabbath, so meetings are scheduled for Friday sundown hours. It is a time where anything you’re worrying about can be left behind while you prepare yourself to hang out with the Creator of our earth. What better way to begin the Sabbath hours as we learn to leave our worries and cares at the door and learn to enjoy the company of our Savior.

The three segments of JAM are:

CAN-OPENERS
“I need someone to listen to me!” “I am so frustrated!” “I am so excited!” Each of us have times during our week where we need someone to listen to us, to join with us in celebration or in sorrow. Can-Openers to the rescue! Small groups filled with friends and soon-to-be friends meet weekly to relax, share, listen, be heard, and to grow.

ACADEMIC INTERVENTION PROGRAM
The intervention program allows the student who is having challenges in a specific class or all classes to meet confidentially with a peer tutor who will do weekly checks with the teacher(s), and will find out where the student stands in the class. The student then meets with a peer tutor in the tutoring center to get help in raising the grades in his/her classes.

PEER MEDIATION
Allows individuals to work through their problems and to reach an agreement in a controlled environment. Working through conflicts constructively with a peer mediator can lead to many positive results.
